The case analysis tools that I used
for my research project for the Integration of Unmanned Aircraft within the
National Airspace began with our assignments.
By organizing, conducting, and organizing all of the research that I was
able to do, it made putting together my project much easier. Each week I would
work towards researching one aspect of my research paper, such as the “Problem
Statement”, or the “Alternatives” section based on what we were doing in class
that week and what I had found while conducting research that week in books or
online.
In the future I would like to work
in the UAV field, whether it be hands on or as an instructor of some sort. I
think that the importance of the case analysis tool would be utilized in either
situation. The key to any tasking or job is to break it down into smaller
segments and find out as much on each of those segments as necessary before
beginning on the next module using the information that you have previously
gathered. This is true in teaching as well. It’s important that your students
have an overall picture of the objectives for the course and a breakdown of
each expected “segment”. Within those segments it’s important to convey what
the expectations are and how all of the segments together are to be used for a
final project.
For our current project I think it
could’ve been more lucrative to assign 3 people per project. I believe that by
doing this it would have been more involved and that there would have been more
ideas and thoughts between the group to be identified and analyzed.
